We're using a "Tanks" gas tank on the 5 window.  We start by welding in the cap bung.  It's tig welded then sanded smooth.  The drain also needs to be added.  We  make a small bung, tap it 1/4" pipe and weld it in.  It's also ground and sanded smooth.
